Connecticut SB00283 extends renewal grace periods for military members and waives fees for veterans and homeless youth.

Connecticut SB00283 increases the grace period for military members to renew their motor vehicle-related documents from 60 to 90 days after returning from service. It also waives fees for original motor vehicle operator's licenses for verified veterans and for identity cards for homeless youth. The bill takes effect on October 1, 2026.
