SB00213

Connecticut SB00213 mandates funding for the 9-8-8 Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the 2-1-1 Infoline program.

Connecticut SB00213 requires dedicated funding for the 9-8-8 Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Lifeline and the 2-1-1 Infoline program. It imposes a surcharge of twenty-5 cents on the monthly fee paid by residents for telecommunication and cellular mobile telephone services capable of accessing the 9-8-8 Lifeline. The surcharge will be deposited into the 9-8-8 Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Crisis Lifeline Fund and will also support the administration of the 2-1-1 Infoline program operated by the United Way of Connecticut.
