Connecticut SB00190 allows foreign-educated veterinarians to practice under a temporary permit and establishes telehealth for urgent medical.

Connecticut SB00190 authorizes the Department of Public Health to issue temporary permits to foreign-educated veterinarians, allowing them to practice under direct supervision. The permits are valid for up to 120 days and are not renewable. The bill also permits the establishment of a veterinarian-client-patient relationship through telehealth for urgent medical conditions. The permit is not issued if the applicant has pending disciplinary action or unresolved complaints.
