An Act Concerning The Protection Of Crops And Livestock From Certain Wildlife.

Authorizes the taking of wildlife that cause damage to crops, livestock, or apiaries.

The bill allows the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to issue permits for the taking of wildlife that threaten or cause damage to agricultural crops, livestock, or apiaries, or that caused damage to crops during the preceding growing season. Permits are issued if the property owner or lessee used reasonable nonlethal efforts to protect the crops, livestock, or apiaries, and if an investigation by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection personnel confirms the damage.
