Connecticut SB00088 requires insurance policies covering chemotherapy to also cover scalp cooling systems used during chemotherapy, with coverage equivalent to Medicare. The bill prohibits insurers from imposing more restrictive out-of-pocket expenses for these systems than for other benefits, except for high deductible health plans. Effective January 1, 2027, this law applies to individual and group health insurance policies in Connecticut.
