Connecticut SB00075 establishes a $500 tax credit for caregivers of elderly or disabled family members.

Connecticut SB00075 amends the state's general statutes to create a caregiver tax credit. This credit applies to taxpayers who pay for the care and support of a family member who is either fifty years of age or older and receives Social Security disability benefits, or sixty years of age or older. The credit is available to those with a federal adjusted gross income of $200,000 or less for single filers and $400,000 or less for married individuals filing jointly.
