Connecticut HB05441 revokes non-probate transfers and appointments by dissolution of marriage.
Connecticut HB05441, effective January 1, 2027, revokes any revocable disposition or appointment of property made by a divorced individual to or for the benefit of the former spouse or a relative of the former spouse. This includes provisions conferring a general or nongeneral power of appointment on a former spouse or a former spouse's relative. The act applies to property passing outside of probate, property coming into the control of a fiduciary, survivorship, and subsection (b) of section 1-350g.
