Introduced·2/20/26
Hb Text

Connecticut HB05307 mandates notification to a parent or guardian of a minor who has received pregnancy-related health care services.

Connecticut HB05307 requires a physician or counselor to provide notice to at least one parent or guardian of a pregnant unemancipated minor at least 48 hours after an abortion. If the minor declares they are a victim of sexual abuse, the notice is not required. The bill also mandates that the provider give the minor information on alternatives to abortion, including carrying the pregnancy to term and placing the child for adoption. The minor must sign a form confirming receipt of this information.
