Establishes a working group to study energy drink consumption by children and requires signage at the point of sale.

Connecticut HB05269 establishes a working group to study the health risks associated with energy drink consumption by children and the effects of a potential prohibition on such sales. The group will make recommendations for a public awareness campaign and signage at the point of sale. The act defines "energy drink" as a soft drink containing at least 80 milligrams of caffeine per nine fluid ounces and certain other ingredients. The working group will submit a report by November 1, 2026.
