The bill establishes a task force to study methods and programs for improving affordability for children, families, and young professionals. The task force will analyze the efficacy of such methods and programs, study systemic barriers to affordability, and provide recommendations for implementation. The task force will also study the availability of educational, employment, and child care programs in areas with low affordability. The cochairpersons must submit a preliminary report by June 1, 2027, and hold a public forum by July 1, 2027.
