Connecticut HB05152 regulates open burning of brush and establishes compensation for fire wardens and firefighters.

Connecticut HB05152 modifies regulations on open burning of brush to prevent wildfires. It allows open burning for specific purposes, such as fire-training exercises and agricultural purposes, if a permit is obtained from the local open burning official. The bill also sets compensation for district and deputy fire wardens, trained firefighters, and laborers on an hourly basis, subject to approval by the Commissioner of Administrative Services. Volunteer fire companies can be compensated under certain conditions.
