This bill creates immunity from prosecution for specified drug offenses for individuals who report or experience a drug overdose. Immunity applies if the person reasonably believes a drug overdose is occurring, provides the location, remains at the scene until help arrives, and cooperates with authorities. Immunity is limited to two instances per year, with exceptions for those seeking medical assistance. The immunity does not extend to other offenses or to the dispensing of marijuana or synthetic equivalents. The act becomes effective July 1, 2025.
