Wyoming HB0144 amends election laws to specify the composition and duties of county canvassing boards.
Wyoming HB0144 amends existing election laws to specify the composition and duties of county canvassing boards. The county canvassing board consists of the county clerk and two electors from different political parties. If the county central committee fails to select electors, the county clerk can appoint them. The board must conduct the canvass within seven business days of the election and can call for a special election. The act also allows for special district canvassing boards for elections not conducted by county clerks. The changes are effective July 1, 2025.
