Failed·2/28/25

Wyoming HB0131 prohibits the use of drop boxes for collecting absentee ballots, requiring ballots to be delivered by mail or hand delivery only.

Wyoming HB0131 amends state election law to prohibit county clerks, public employees, or election officials from using drop boxes to collect absentee ballots. Ballots must be delivered by mail or hand delivery to the county clerk. If a ballot is improperly delivered through a drop box, the clerk may notify the elector that their ballot is spoiled. The act defines "drop box" as any receptacle designed for the receipt of absentee ballots or other documents. The changes take effect July 1, 2025.
