Wyoming HB0108 prohibits discrimination against firearm entities in payment card transactions.

Wyoming HB0108 amends the Wyoming Statutes to prohibit financial institutions, acquirers, merchant acquiring entities, payment settlement entities, and third party settlement organizations from discriminating against firearm entities. This includes prohibiting the assignment of merchant category codes that classify firearm or ammunition merchants differently from general merchandise or sporting goods retailers. Violation of this provision is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of one thousand dollars for each instance. The act applies to contracts renewed or modified after July 1, 2025.
