Enhanced Medicaid reimbursement rates for maternal services in rural Wyoming.

The bill authorizes enhanced Medicaid reimbursement rates for eligible providers offering maternal services in rural and frontier areas of Wyoming. Eligible providers include obstetrician-gynecologists, family physicians, midwives, and general surgeons. The enhanced rates aim to increase access to prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, reduce maternal and neonatal morbidity, and preserve obstetric provider capacity in rural areas. The Department of Health must report on the additional costs incurred by the increased reimbursements by October 31, 2027.
