Wyoming HB0020 amends lease agreements for K-12 school facilities to require sufficient payment from the lessee to cover maintenance expenses. The lease must identify the amount for major maintenance separately and ensure the lessor maintains the buildings according to standards. The district or charter school can request a review of major maintenance expenses by the state construction department. The act also modifies the duties of boards of trustees to include leasing facilities comparable to public K-12 education. Effective July 1, 2025.
