Wyoming HB0015 modifies bonding requirements for limited mining operations, setting new limits and conditions for bond release. The bill specifies that for operations commencing before July 1, 2025, the bond amount is set at $2,000 per acre of affected land, including access roads. For operations starting after July 1, 2025, the bond amount increases to $5,000 per acre. The bill also allows for the release of up to 75% of the bond after two successful growing seasons that establish permanent vegetative cover, subject to approval by the surface owner and the administrator.
