The Fast Track Permits Act mandates that local governments review residential building permit applications within 30 days. Local governments must notify applicants within 10 business days if an application is complete or incomplete. If an application is deemed incomplete, the applicant has 10 days to provide the missing information. The review period can be extended if additional information is requested or if state or federal agency approval is needed. If the application is approved, the local government must issue a permit within 30 days.
