West Virginia SJR4 proposes a constitutional amendment limiting senators to three consecutive terms and delegates to six consecutive terms.

West Virginia SJR4 proposes an amendment to the state constitution to limit the terms of office for state senators and delegates. The amendment would restrict senators to serving no more than three consecutive terms and delegates to no more than six consecutive terms. This limitation would apply to terms beginning after the ratification of the amendment. Terms served before the amendment's ratification would not count towards these limits. The amendment would be submitted to voters in the 2026 general election for ratification.
