Proposing a constitutional amendment to allow the West Virginia Legislature to review and redraw county boundaries every 100 years.

This bill proposes a constitutional amendment to allow the West Virginia Legislature to review and redraw county boundaries every 100 years, starting in 2031. The Legislature will assess the populations and needs of the counties and may redraw boundaries or combine counties if it determines that such changes would benefit the residents. The proposed new boundaries will be submitted to the citizens of the respective counties for approval or disapproval at the next general election.
