SB967

Removing provisions that transformers do not apply to aboveground storage tanks

Introduced·2/17/26
Intr Text

Removes exclusion for transformers from aboveground storage tank regulations.

This bill amends the West Virginia Code to remove the exclusion for transformers from the definition of aboveground storage tanks. Transformers are now subject to the same regulations as other aboveground storage tanks, including registration, notice, and signage requirements. This change ensures that transformers are included under the oversight of the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection.
