West Virginia SB890 changes the minimum public school instructional day requirement from 180 days to 900 hours. It also changes the minimum employment term from 200 days to 1,600 hours. It also allows nonpublic schools to deliver instruction through alternative methods that count toward up to 25 hours of instructional time when schools are closed due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
