Extends State Fire Marshal inspections to include municipalities with certified fire code officials, inspectors, and plans examiners.

The bill amends the West Virginia Code to extend State Fire Marshal inspections to include municipalities with certified fire code officials, inspectors, and plans examiners. These certified officials can perform duties in business, mercantile, and public assembly occupancies under the jurisdiction of the State Fire Marshal. Uncertified fire officials, inspectors, and plans examiners employed by municipal fire departments are granted probationary status for up to two years to satisfy certification requirements.
