West Virginia SB85 reduces the time limits for bringing actions to recover on written and oral contracts, certain bonds, and recognizances. The bill shortens the statute of limitations for actions on indemnifying bonds, written contracts under seal, written contracts not under seal, and other contracts from ten years to five years. It also reduces the time limit for actions on bonds of fiduciaries and personal representatives, and on recognizances, from ten years to five years.
