Exempts middle and high school athletes from physical education requirements.

This bill exempts students participating in good standing in an extracurricular sport from the statutory middle school and high school physical education requirements. The state Department of Education must establish a requirement that each child actively participates in physical education classes. The state board shall prescribe a program within the existing health and physical education program which incorporates fitness testing, reporting, recognition, fitness events and incentive programs.
