West Virginia SB613 extends interest rate caps to six percent for all debts incurred during military service.

West Virginia SB613 amends the West Virginia Servicemembers Civil Relief Act to cap interest rates at six percent for debts incurred by active service members and their spouses. This applies to obligations entered into on or after July 1, 2026. The bill also extends these protections to members of the West Virginia National Guard called to state active duty for 30 days or more.
