Allows transfer of contractor licenses to immediate family members under certain conditions.
This bill amends the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act to allow for the transfer of a contractor's license to an immediate family member. Immediate family members include a spouse, child, sibling, or parent of the license holder. The board may transfer the license without requiring examination if the transferee has been actively involved in the management or operation of a business entity where the original license holder is or was the principal owner, partner, or corporate officer. The transfer must occur within one year of the license holder's death or permanent incapacity.
