Extends statute of limitations for actions related to gender reassignment surgeries in West Virginia.

West Virginia SB507 extends the statute of limitations for bringing actions for gender reassignment surgeries. It allows individuals to file claims within two years of discovering their injury or within 20 years from the date of the medical injury, whichever is later. The bill also provides for additional damages in actions filed against surgeons for medical injuries from gender reassignment surgeries and prescribing of medications related to gender reassignment procedures and therapies.
