SB472 amends the West Virginia Code to transfer the administration of the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) from the Department of Human Services to WorkForce West Virginia. Effective July 1, 2027, WorkForce West Virginia will assume all powers, duties, and responsibilities related to these programs, including employment and training programs for TANF and eligibility and satisfaction of employment requirements for SNAP.
