West Virginia SB29 amends the state code to adjust the annual salaries of judges in various courts. Effective July 1, 2026, the annual salary for a family court judge increases to $113,950, and by July 1, 2027, it will be $121,000. For justices of the Supreme Court of Appeals, the salary will rise to $149,600 by July 1, 2022, and further to $159,600 by July 1, 2027. Circuit court judges will see their salaries increase to $148,600 by July 1, 2027. Additionally, the bill sets the annual salary for judges of the Intermediate Court of Appeals at $152,500 by July 1, 2027.
