West Virginia SB19 prohibits foreign entities from designated countries from purchasing or acquiring real property within the state.

West Virginia SB19 amends the state code to prohibit governmental entities, entities controlled by, or acting on behalf of governments from designated countries from purchasing or acquiring real property within the state. This includes individuals or entities from these countries. Exceptions include U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents, homestead properties, and leasehold interests. The Attorney General is authorized to investigate and enforce violations, with the ability to seek injunctive relief, divestment, or receivership.
