Increases the homestead exemption by $20,000 every five years for eligible persons aged 65 and older.

This bill proposes an amendment to the West Virginia Constitution to increase the homestead exemption for eligible persons who are 65 years of age and older. The exemption will increase by $20,000 every five years, reaching a maximum of $80,000 at age 80. The amendment will be submitted to voters in the 2028 general election. The exemption applies to real property and personal property in the form of a mobile home, used exclusively for residential purposes and occupied by the owner.
