Amends West Virginia Constitution to change State Board of Education member selection and terms.

This bill proposes an amendment to the West Virginia Constitution to change the selection and terms of State Board of Education members. It provides for the election of five members on a partisan basis and the appointment of four members-at-large by the Governor with Senate consent. Members will serve four-year terms, with regional members alternating election years. The amendment also shortens the terms of existing members to two and four years. The amendment will be submitted to voters in 2026.
