West Virginia HJR31 proposes term limits for state legislators.

West Virginia HJR31 proposes an amendment to the state constitution to limit the terms of office for state legislators. The amendment would restrict senators to two consecutive terms and delegates to four consecutive terms, starting from the terms beginning after the ratification of the amendment. Terms served before the ratification would not count towards these limits, but partial terms served after the ratification would be considered full terms. The amendment would be put to a vote in the 2026 general election.
