Establishes the West Virginia Task Force on Election Integrity to research secure election methods and technologies.
The bill creates the West Virginia Task Force on Election Integrity within the Office of the Secretary of State. The Task Force is charged with identifying optimal, timely, fully secure, fully transparent, and auditable vote tabulation and election management methods and systems. It will research feasible, secure methods and technologies, assess election software and hardware, and investigate potential vulnerabilities. The Task Force will submit an interim report six months after its first meeting and an annual report by July 1, 2027, and July 1, 2028.
