West Virginia HB5579 waives the one-time $10 fee for Veterans license plates for first-time applicants who have an Honorable Discharge from any branch of the United States Military. The bill amends Section 17A-3-14b of the Code of West Virginia to provide this fee waiver. The Division of Motor Vehicles may continue to issue special plates for military personnel, and surviving spouses may retain their deceased spouse's military license plate until they die, remarry, or fail to renew the plate.
