Protects personal information of elected officials and their families from public disclosure.

This bill amends the West Virginia Code to protect personal information of elected officials and their families from public disclosure. It prohibits the disclosure of home addresses and personal phone numbers of active, formerly active, or retired judicial officers, elected officials, prosecutors, public defenders, assistant public defenders, and law enforcement officers. A civil action can be maintained by the individual or their immediate family member if this information is disclosed without written permission.
