West Virginia HB5491 requires exhibitors of digital motion pictures who operate theaters in more than one location to provide open captioning during at least two showings per week of each motion picture produced with open captioning. Exceptions include drive-in theaters, theaters with fewer than six screens, and theaters without digital projection systems that support open caption files. The bill also mandates audio description for digital motion pictures produced with audio description and requires theaters to have at least two audio description devices.
