Requires insurers to pay out-of-network emergency medical services agencies directly and promptly pay clean claims.

West Virginia HB5379 mandates that insurers remit payment directly to out-of-network emergency medical services agencies for covered ground ambulance services within 30 days of receiving a clean claim. Insurers must not send payment to the covered individual. If a claim is not clean, insurers must notify the agency within 30 days of the claim receipt, stating the reasons for declining payment or requesting additional information.
