Introduced·2/5/26
Intr Text

Authorizes community paramedicine programs and permits health insurance coverage for services provided.

This bill allows licensed emergency medical services agencies to establish community paramedicine programs. These programs permit emergency medical technicians, emergency medical technician-intermediates, or paramedics to provide nonemergency medical services to individuals within the community. The bill also permits health insurance coverage for community paramedicine services, including coverage for prehospital screening and stabilization of emergency medical conditions. The Office of Emergency Medical Services can propose legislative rules to implement these provisions.
