Introduced·2/4/26
Intr Text

Requires public schools in West Virginia to sell tickets at the gate, accept cash, and offer online ticket sales for athletic events.

This bill mandates that all public schools in West Virginia selling tickets for athletic events must sell them at the gate, accept cash, and offer online ticket sales. The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission oversees the control, supervision, and regulation of interscholastic athletic events and extracurricular activities, including those of private and parochial schools. Students from private schools can participate in public school activities if their private school does not offer the activity, subject to certain conditions.
