West Virginia HB4926, the Second Amendment Reaffirmation and Protection Act, reaffirms state preemption of all local firearm regulations and extends it to post-federal repeal scenarios. The Act prohibits counties, municipalities, and political subdivisions from enacting or enforcing firearm restrictions inconsistent with this Act. It also prohibits the Legislature or any state agency from adopting any law or rule to replace, re-enact, or simulate any federal firearm restriction repealed or overturned.
