Direct Classroom Funding Act establishes separate accounts for teachers to manage classroom supplies and instructional materials.
The Direct Classroom Funding Act creates separate "Classroom Expense Accounts" for teachers to manage classroom supplies and instructional materials. Teachers will have access to these accounts and can use purchase cards to make exempt purchases. Funds are deposited directly from state accounts, and teachers can also opt to have Faculty Senate funds deposited into these accounts. The Office of the State Auditor will provide training on the proper use of these accounts.
