Introduced·1/26/26
Intr Text

Allows real property taxes in West Virginia to be paid quarterly instead of biannually.

West Virginia HB4823 amends the Code of West Virginia to allow real property taxes to be paid in four quarterly installments instead of two biannual payments. The Department of Tax and Revenue will set the due dates for these quarterly payments. Taxes paid on time, including both quarterly and biannual installments, qualify for a 2.5% discount. The bill also maintains the interest rate of 9% per annum for delinquent taxes.
