Requires parole boards to consider sentencing judge's recommendation for certain offenses.

This bill amends the Code of West Virginia to require parole boards to take into account the sentencing judge’s recommendation at the time of sentencing for certain qualifying offenses. These offenses include DUI with serious bodily injury, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and other serious crimes. The parole board must consider the judge's recommendation as the opinion of the judge under the facts and circumstances then appearing of the appropriate term recommended by him or her to be served by the person sentenced.
