Introduced·1/21/26
Intr Text

Requires railroad companies to provide alternative entry and exit ways for communities when performing maintenance, repairs, or construction on state.

This bill mandates that railroad companies must provide alternative entry and exit ways for communities when performing maintenance, repairs, or construction on state roads. Specifically, it requires these companies to offer alternate routes when such activities block a road for more than 24 hours and the road serves as the sole entry and exit for residents. The bill also requires the Division of Highways to coordinate with railroad companies to minimize disruptions during road closures.
