Allows unused sick leave days to be applied toward retirement credit in West Virginia.
West Virginia HB4657 permits the use of accrued unused sick leave days to be credited toward retirement. This bill amends the West Virginia Public Employees Retirement Act to allow members to apply unused sick leave days to acquire additional credited service in the retirement system. The accrued days will be applied on the basis of two workdays credit granted for each one day of such accrued annual or sick leave days.
