Introduced·1/21/26
Intr Text

Repeals mandatory state inspections of motor vehicles in West Virginia.

This bill repeals the article in the West Virginia Code that mandates state inspections of motor vehicles. It removes sections related to vehicle operation without required equipment, inspections by the Department of Public Safety, compliance by owners and drivers, and the issuance of inspection certificates. The elimination of these provisions means that vehicle inspections will no longer be required by the state.
