Expands the Child Abuse and Neglect Investigations Unit to include retired State Police officers.
West Virginia HB4576 amends the Child Abuse and Neglect Investigations Unit to allow honorably retired State Police officers to be considered for reemployment. These officers will receive the same compensation as active troopers but will not receive credit for their previous service. They will be subject to the same oath and authority as active officers but will not be eligible for promotion or reclassification.
